I had a 3 day weekend! For the first time in a long time, I had a Monday off! Dad had President's Day off, and Mom gave me the day off too, so it kinda felt like another Saturday for me. I started my school week today, so yeah. :)
Question: What could you do to help reduce the pollution in our environment?
Check for non-burnable things in the burning trash.
History: Write a paragraph about supernovas.
A supernova is a stellar explosion that is obviously more energetic than a nova. Supernovas are very bright and cause a burst of radiation. No supernova has been observed in the Milky Way since 1604 by Johannes Kepler and Tycho Brahe in 1572.
Verse: Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Question: What is most important to you in a friendship: loyalty, generosity, honesty?
I would say honesty. I would hate it if my best friend lied to me alot.
Verse: Philippians 1:20
"I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death."

Question: What was last night's sermon about??
It was about how we should be careful with whom we are friends with. How they have a powerful influence over us, and, if we're not careful, we could do dumb stuff we thought we would never do.
Verse: Proverbs 13:20 (NLT)
"Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble."

Question: What do you think about ghosts?
I believe that there are such things as angels and demons. I guess you might consider them 'ghosts', so I do think 'ghosts' are real.
Verse: Colossians 3:1-3
"Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God."

Question: What is the origin of Valentine's Day?
Valentine's Day was first established by Pope Gelasius I in 496 A.D. It is celebrated in countries around the world, mostly in the West. The day first became associated with romance in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer n the Middle Ages. By the 1400's, it had evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, sending greeting cards.

Bartholomew was one of the twelve apostles of Christ. His name, Bartholomew, is used in Matthew, Mark and Luke, but he is identified as Nathanael in John. He was introduced to Christ through Philip, another of the twelve apostles, in John 1.
Verse: John 3:16-17
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."

History: Research Tuberculosis.
Tuberculosis, or TB, is a bacterial infection that can spread through the lymph nodes and bloodstream to any organ in your body and most often the lungs. TB can be contagious, because it can be transmitted through the air, though you would have to be exposed constantly to be infected. Inactive TB can be treated by an antibiotic called isoniazid (INH) to help prevent it from becoming active. Active TB can become fatal if left untreated by antibiotics.
Verse: Matthew 11:28-30
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

so I shall call her alice
11.feb.2012 this little beauty is growing on my window seal right now! can you believe it?? I think I just figures I couldn't maintain a plant such as this!
this plant was given to Paige when she was recovering from her accident in December. It had three beautiful blooms on it at the time, but they quickly faded.
I'm happy to report, after being put in charge of the care of this plant, that it's thriving. This is the first new bloom since in my care - but there is another one on the way!! I feel like a proud mother!! hahaha. So I shall call her Alice.
